Comparing Canmore, the town next to Banff National Park, to the well-known Banff, the former is more unknown abroad. Canmore offers so much to do that we often consider it to be a better place to stay than Banff.
Along with many other activities, you can hike, cross-country ski, and mountain bike. You’ll need a place to stay in Canmore that is both comfortable and convenient in between these activities. This contemporary apartment has an office space, in-unit laundry, a fireplace, and a fully functional kitchen. Though there is only one bedroom with a single bed, there is room for a cot (provided by the hosts) and the couch can be made into a double bed.
The location of this Airbnb is its best feature. ideal if you don’t want to drive too much because it’s easily walkable to Downtown Canmore. A waterslide, a hot tub, gum, and underground parking—which is essential in Canmore during the winter—are also available to you.
Perfect Stay in Canmore – Close to Town
This stylish three-bedroom condo in Canmore, Alberta, is close to the city center and has breathtaking views of Mount Cascade. The apartment has just undergone meticulous renovations and includes access to a gym, two underground parking spots, and a hot tub.

You can bring your pet to the Rockies for an additional $50! One car can also park underground, which is very convenient in the winter as it saves you from having to get into a cold car first thing in the morning.
Canmore Chalet
Tastefully decorated and equipped with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay, this ultramodern Canmore Chalet is sure to impress. With space for eight people divided among four beds, it’s an excellent choice for big parties.
You don’t have to go far to find a lovely Airbnb in Canmore with a pool. This place literally has a pool right outside the backdoor. In addition to two rooms with three beds and a pull-out sofa bed in the living room, there is a fully equipped kitchen.
Families and friends will find it to be an excellent base as it’s just a short walk from several enjoyable and easy walks in Canmore. However, you probably won’t want to leave the cozy, large couch and fireplace.

This is an even better location with heated, safe parking. Once more, this might not seem like a big deal, but it’s really helpful in the winter months in Alberta and great in the summer when town space becomes scarce.
For families or couples traveling with their furry companions, this refurbished loft is the ideal mountain hideout. Bath and body products made in the area are available for purchase at the condo, and the kitchen is fully equipped with free coffee and tea. Cozy up in front of the gas fireplace in the living room or enjoy the views from the private deck while grilling.
The loft that houses the master bedroom is open to the main living area below, and the bedroom is also open to the loft’s bathroom. In addition to a small gym, the building features two rooftop hot tubs and one indoor hot tub.

Mystic Luxury Chalet
This is one of the best Airbnbs in Canmore with a pool—a very opulent townhouse! One of the best neighborhoods in the area is Mystic Springs, which has a heated pool! After a day of skiing in Banff with your loved ones, you can unwind in a 12-person hot tub.
I adore the patio that faces the pool, where you can watch the kids swim while sipping a drink on the deck. Some of the greatest restaurants in Canmore are literally a few feet away. Furthermore, your stay includes a complimentary Parks Canada pass that allows you to enter Banff!
There’s a nice separation between the living room on the main story and the bedrooms on the second story. A cozy king-size bed awaits you in the master bedroom on Saturday morning.
Entire Townhouse in Harvey Heights
I would recommend booking an Airbnb in Harvey Heights for a better deal. Harvey Heights is a small community that is only five minutes from Canmore. Compared to most Airbnbs in Canmore, Harvey Heights offers much better value, some nicer places, and the ability to house more people.
The only thing that has changed, compared to the other Airbnbs on this list, is that you no longer have to walk to Downtown Canmore to enjoy the breathtaking views in Harvey Heights. Therefore, in order to access Main Street and all of the eateries, pubs, and boutique stores that it offers, you’ll need a car or a bike.
This townhouse has two bedrooms and can accommodate eight people plus pets. It features brand-new furniture and a gas fireplace. Free parking, a coin-operated laundry room, barbecue facilities, and a public hot tub are also available.
The Top Activities in Canmore
Hike Rundle’s East End
The hike known as East End of Rundle (EEOR) is among the most well-liked in Canmore. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views over Canmore, the Bow Valley, and Ha Ling Peak from this lovely hike up. Nevertheless, just because East End of Rundle—also known as EEOR or “Eeyore” as the locals like to call it—is near to the town doesn’t mean that climbing to the summit will be simple.
The 5.8-kilometer EEOR trail is an out-and-back route. For nearly the whole hike, it’s an arduous uphill battle. There are very few flat sections, and the ascent begins directly from the parking lot. For the average to experienced hiker, there is some scrambling and moderate exposure, but nothing too scary or challenging.

One of our favorite après-ski traditions is visiting the local brewery, which is unique to North America. Any day spent in the breathtaking Rockies with a local beer at the end of the day is ideal, regardless of the season.
We really enjoyed their Rundlestone IPA and Grumpy Bear Honey Wheat, along with their delicious food. Seasonal draughts, including gose, wheat, speciality IPA, and other guest brews, are also available.
Eclipse Coffee’s morning coffee
The Eclipse Coffee Roasters in Canmore are the place to go if you want the best coffee in the Banff area. They currently operate two locations: the original at the main intersection off Bow Valley Trail, and the other downtown.
Within the store, you can purchase a variety of specialty coffees or discover house-made artisan roasts. You can anticipate the stand4ard selection, which includes flat whites, lattes, and even excellent pour overs for true coffee connoisseurs. We like to choose our coffee roast for home from this location, which is our favorite.
In addition, it’s a great place to stop for coffee or a local roast for camping before heading out on a hike in Kananaskis along the Smith Dorrien Trail or towards Banff.

Climb Ha Ling Peak
Ascend to the summit of Ha Ling Peak, Canmore’s most famous mountain. It’s also the most accessible mountain in the area thanks to a newly redesigned trail that has viewpoints, steps, educational signage, and a well-defined path.
HaLing’s drawback is its popularity; on a pleasant summer weekend, thousands of people pack the parking lot and trail and ascend the short trail to the summit. Even so, the hike is fairly challenging because you gain over 800 meters in less than 4 kilometers.
